您好！我是蔡廷蔚 Shermaine Choi，今年19歲 本人于 2018年從國際寄宿學校 香港李寶椿聯合世界書院 Li Po Chun United World College畢業，獲得IB雙主語文憑（IB bilingual diploma), 現在就讀香港中文大學。IB選修科為： · English Literature (Higher Level) · Chemistry HL · Biology HL · Chinese Literature (Standard Level) · Mathematics SL · Global Politics SL 英國文學科更獲得6/7的總分。 轉到 IB課程之前，我從P.1至F.4在九龍塘 瑪利諾修院學校Maryknoll Convent School就讀，DSE選修科本是 English Literature, Chemistry, Biology和 M1。英文和英語文學課更連續3年(F.2/ F.3/ F.4) 獲得全級最高總分，皆能拿到兩科的Subject award。 我也有考國外升學的公開考試經驗： · SAT 1480/1600 （作文部分 20/21） · IELTS 8.0/9.0 (reading 9分滿分) 有信心可以在這方面提適當的供指導和分享我的應考心得，幫助學生準備開外升學。 我已經有三年的補習經驗，學生包括國際學校生和本地名校生，年齡從小一到中四不等。我善於跟學生溝通，希望能夠提供一個愉快的上課氣氛，讓他們不認為補習是刻板的事，學習更能事半功倍, 也有充足信心和豐富經驗能體供好的指導。無論家長或學生也歡迎隨時通過WhatsApp聯絡我問問題。 由於從小在說英語和普通話的環境長大；學校的課堂均以英文上課，國際學校的中文科也用普通話授課，因此兩言都是我的母語。英文口音屬於美式口音，普通話則是標準發音，相當流利。 若學生需要的話，可以以全英/主普上課。 Hello! My name is Shermaine Choi, and I am 19 years old, turning 20 this year. I am a graduate of Hong Kong Li Po Chun United World College, Class of 2018, and a recipient of the IB Bilingual Diploma due to my studies in both English Literature and Chinese Literature. My electives for the IB Diploma were: · English Literature (Higher Level) · Chemistry HL · Biology HL · Chinese Literature (Standard Level) · Mathematics SL · Global Politics SL I obtained 6/7 for English Literature Higher Level, and I also wrote my 4000-word independent research graduation thesis on a topic of choice in English Literature. Before transferring to the IB system, I was a student at Maryknoll Convent School from P.1 until F.4. My DSE electives were English Literature, Chemistry, Biology and M1. I was awarded the English subject award and the English Literature subject award for 3 consecutive years (F.2 to F.4) for having the highest accumulative mark in my whole grade at MCS. I also have plenty of experience in standardized testing for applications to study overseas: · SAT 1 1480/1600 （Essay section 20/21） · IELTS 8.0/9.0 (reading 9.0/9.0 full marks) I have confidence that I will be able to provide advice and sufficient help in aiding students to prepare for such an important exam. I have been tutoring for over three years, with students from both local and international schools and ages varying from P.1 up to F.4. Therefore, I am confident in my ample experience, I believe that I will have no trouble in communicating with my students and am able to create a cheerful, fun atmosphere to spark their interest and creativity in class. I guarantee that they will not think tutorials are a boring affair after lessons with me. Of course, both parents and students are always welcome to contact me via Whatsapp with any questions or concerns after class. Since I grew up in an English speaking environment (all classes were taught in English at MCS) and I am also fully fluent in Mandarin (Putonghua was the Chinese medium of instruction at LPC), I am confident in claiming to be a native speaker in both languages, and am able to switch freely between both or use solely one language in class, to fit my students’ needs.
